Our natural lovage leaf hydrolate for cosmetics is obtained from the plant Levisticum officinale. The liquid bears the name Lovage Leaf natural hydrolate for cosmetics. The leaf mass yields a volatile fraction of terpenes and phthalides, including phellandrene and terpinyl acetate, and this mixture determines the fresh green direction of the aroma. Extraction is carried out with steam, so the distillate carries only the volatile side of the plant material. Botanically, the species is classified in the Apiaceae family. The plantations grow in Bulgaria, and natural cultivation keeps the composition free of preservatives and colorants. The product is a liquid with a light yellow-green color that comes from the greenness of the leaves used. The aroma is perceived as mild and remains restrained throughout the aromatic picture of the raw material. The scent combines a fresh, green and herbal side, with the herbal tone standing close to the green one and accompanying it in the overall profile. It is used in mature skin care through anti-wrinkle serums and creams, in products for the eye contour and for night care, as well as in soothing lotions for sensitive skin. In hair care, it is incorporated into shampoos, conditioners, masks and tonics that maintain the freshness and shine of the hair. In addition, it is suitable for hand and foot creams, lip balms, shower gels, soaps, face and body scrubs, aftershave lotions and after-sun gels. It is introduced as an aqueous base into complete formulations, complementing the aromatic profile and the feeling of freshness of the final product.

Storage

Store natural lovage leaf hydrolate in a dark, cool and dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Maintain a temperature of +4°C to +10°C to limit the growth of microorganisms. After opening, use the contents within 6 months and limit the amount of air in the container. Use only aluminum or glass bottles for cosmetic products, preferably dark glass, which protect the cosmetic hydrolate from light. Close tightly after each use to prevent air and contaminants from entering. Observing these conditions preserves the freshness and quality of the product for a longer period.
