Description

Our organic lavender hydrolate for animals originates from the species Lavandula Angustifolia. In international practice, the product is referred to as Lavender Organic Hydrolat. The plantations in the country are grown organically on open agricultural land. Organic care is evident in the final composition, as preservatives and colorants remain outside the aqueous liquid together with other substances of external origin. The starting mass is collected entirely from the aerial stalk of the plant. The light character of the stalk carries over into the distillate, which is why the color remains between colorless and slightly yellowish throughout the finished product. Steam distillation retains a narrow range of volatile substances in the aqueous base, and the aroma profile remains clear throughout the entire aromatic progression. The Lamiaceae family includes herbaceous species with a pronounced glandular apparatus on the aerial green part. The capitate and peltate glandular hairs on the aerial organs of the species take up the volatile fraction even before the very beginning of the processing of the raw material. The product is a clear liquid with an even internal flow. The intensity of the scent remains soft, while the floral direction sets the main tone of the entire aromatic profile. The herbal shade complements the aromatic profile and gives a restrained finish to the overall scent of the finished distillate. In addition, the polar oxygen-containing compounds find their place in the aqueous phase in labiate plants. Linalool and linalyl acetate give the species its characteristic aroma, while the other compounds are perceived more faintly in the scent. The origin of all the raw material is limited to Bulgarian fields. Lavender imparts a soft floral scent and a restrained herbal finish to this plant distillate.

Lavender hydrolate is used in skin care products for pets with a soothing effect. It is applied in lotions for relieving irritation and itching in dogs and cats, as well as in sprays for refreshing and moisturizing the coat. It is included in paw care balms and in products for treating minor skin injuries. It is found in shampoos with a soft herbal scent, in sprays against unpleasant odors and in products for calming after bathing or grooming. It is also suitable for supplements added to food that support the calmness of animals in stressful situations, as well as for horse care products, including mane and tail balms. It is also used in ear cleaning solutions and massage gels made on the basis of a certified raw material with a gentle profile. It is also used in care products for small pets, including rodents and birds, for which the soft herbal character of the ingredient is valued.

Storage

Store organic lavender hydrolate in a dark, cool and dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Maintain a temperature of +4°C to +10°C to limit the growth of microorganisms. After opening, use the contents within 6 to 12 months and limit the amount of air in the container. Use only aluminum or glass bottles for animal products, preferably dark glass, which protect the hydrolate for animals from light. Close tightly after each use to prevent air and contaminants from entering. Observing these conditions preserves the freshness and quality of the product for a longer period.
