Description

Our natural lavender CO2 total extract for drinks is obtained from the species Lavandula angustifolia Mill. In international practice the liquid is designated as Lavender natural CO2 total extract for drinks. Extraction is carried out with supercritical carbon dioxide and residual solvents are completely excluded, which is why the floral purity of the volatile part reaches the final liquid unchanged. Preservatives and colourants take no part in its composition. The Lamiaceae family places the crop among the herbaceous perennial species with dense glandular hairs. The flowers make up all of the material used, while the stems and leaves of the plant stay outside the harvested mass. Flowering begins in midsummer, and harvesting the inflorescences is recommended in the late morning hours, when the volatile fraction is at its fullest. The harvested crop comes from plantings on the territory of Bulgaria. The natural method of cultivation protects the plant material from foreign substances, as only what the flowers themselves carry enters the composition. The aroma remains floral and fresh, and light herbal notes appear only in depth. The intensity lies between moderate and strong, while the relaxing floral character shows most clearly with calm and prolonged attention to the whole scent. The consistency remains liquid and uniform. A light yellowish and a light lilac shade mark the limits of the colour, because the pigments of the flowers enter the liquid together with the volatile part. Alongside the aromatic part, the extract also contains waxy constituents from the flowers. The entire content comes down to natural plant material. Storage

Store natural lavender CO2 total extract in a dark, cool and dry place, away from direct sunlight and sources of heat. Maintain a temperature from +5°C to +20°C and the quality will remain unchanged. After opening, reduce the air in the packaging, and when less content remains, transfer the remainder into a clean and dry bottle of smaller volume. For beverage products use aluminium containers or dark glass bottles that do not let light through. Tight closing after use protects the content from air and moisture.
