Our natural lavender absolute for aromatherapy is obtained from the plant with the botanical name Lavandula angustifolia. In international practice, the product is designated as Lavender natural absolute for aromatherapy. The plant belongs to the Lamiaceae family, whose members bear square stems, opposite leaves, small two-lipped flowers and glandular hairs on the aerial parts. The hairs collect the volatile substances that determine the strength of the scent. The stalk is harvested in Bulgaria, where the plantings occupy sunny slopes with light, well-drained soils at the foot of the mountains. The care there remains natural, since synthetic fertilizers and stimulants for accelerated growth are not part of it under any circumstances. Natural care preserves the full range of aromatic substances in the flowering tops. The tops give off a strong scent that opens fresh, unfolds a broad floral fullness and finishes with a herbal touch and a light sweetness at the very end.
