Description

Our natural juniper needle hydrolate for aromatherapy is obtained from a plant with the botanical name Juniperus communis. In international practice, the product is designated as Juniper Needle natural hydrolate for aromatherapy. Systematics assigns the species to the Cupressaceae family. The needles are used for extraction; in this species they remain needle-like throughout the life of the plant and grow in whorls along the twigs. The plants develop in Bulgaria under natural cultivation, which excludes synthetic agents. Steam distillation links extraction with the purity of the aroma, since solvents are kept aside and the volatile part comes only from the original needle raw material. The oxygen-containing volatile compounds pass into the aqueous phase, and it is precisely they that build the aromatic character of the liquid. The aroma manifests itself with medium strength. The scent combines a fresh, piney and resinous side in a single profile. The oil of the needles is dominated by monoterpene hydrocarbons, led by pinene and sabinene. The product is a clear liquid with a color ranging from colorless to pale yellow. The upper side of the needle bears a stomatal band with a grayish wax coating, which is visible on close inspection. The needle raw material determines the faint color, because mainly colorless volatile substances pass into the water, while the colored parts of the needles remain outside the distillate. The composition is entirely natural, and preservatives and colorants are kept out of it. In addition, natural cultivation and limiting the raw material to the needles alone determine a simplified composition that includes only plant volatile substances and water. Along with the medium strength of its scent, juniper needle hydrolate retains a clear liquid form and a fresh, piney resinous profile.

Storage

Store natural juniper needle hydrolate in a dark, cool and dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Maintain a temperature of +4°C to +10°C to limit the growth of microorganisms. After opening, use the contents within 6 months and limit the amount of air in the container. Use only aluminum or glass bottles for aromatherapy products, preferably dark glass, which protect the aromatherapy hydrolate from light. Close tightly after each use to prevent air and contaminants from entering. Observing these conditions preserves the freshness and quality of the product for a longer period.
