Description

We present natural juniper berry hydrolate for animals, obtained from a plant of the species Juniperus communis. The hydrolate is known in practice as Juniper Berry natural hydrolate for animals. Botanical science places the species in the Cupressaceae family. Only the ripe fruits go into processing, and in each female cone the scales fuse together, creating a dense and continuous fleshy part. The reddish appearance of the young cones gives way to the blue-black coloring and the waxy bloom upon ripening. The plants are tended in Bulgaria in a natural way, in which synthetic agents and fertilizers are left out. Steam distillation of the unfermented ripe fruits keeps the aromatic profile unchanged, since no solvents are involved in the extraction, while the volatile part comes from the fruit itself. The oxygenated volatile compounds move into the aqueous part, and it is precisely from there that the aromatic character comes. The strength of the aroma remains at a high level. The resinous tone accompanies the fresh pine direction of the overall scent. Monoterpene hydrocarbons make up the greater part of the volatile fraction, and pinene, myrcene and sabinene regularly occur among them. The hydrolate remains clear, and its color ranges from colorless to pale yellow. The fruit raw material accounts for the faint color, because the water carries away almost only colorless substances, while the pigments are retained in the fleshy tissue of the cone. The natural composition does without preservatives and colorants. In addition, the natural course of cultivation and the narrowly selected raw material reduce the composition of the liquid to plant volatile substances and pure water. The strong scent, the clear form and the faint color complete the picture of the juniper distillate.

It is suitable for cleansing ear foams, refreshing coat wipes and lotions for maintaining coat shine. It is used in gels for sensitive skin, hygiene products after walks and sprays for cleaning a cage or sleeping area. It is also used in moisturizing solutions for irritations, lotions for maintaining a healthy coat and sprays for hygienic care of the tail and ears. It is suitable for solutions for cleaning paws after mud, refreshing sprays for long-haired breeds and massage lotions for muscle tension, providing gentle daily care for dogs and cats.

Storage

Store natural juniper berry hydrolate in a dark, cool and dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Maintain a temperature of +4°C to +10°C to limit the growth of microorganisms. After opening, use the contents within 6 months and limit the amount of air in the container. Use only aluminum or glass bottles for animal products, preferably dark glass, which protect the hydrolate for animals from light. Close tightly after each use to prevent air and contaminants from entering. Observing these conditions preserves the freshness and quality of the product for a longer period.
