Description
We offer natural juniper berry essential oil for cosmetics, obtained from the plant with the botanical name Juniperus communis. The product bears the name Juniper berry natural essential oil for cosmetics. Its composition consists solely of the entirely natural volatile fraction of the fruit and does not include preservatives. Along with preservatives, colourants are also absent, as the light tone and the clear liquid derive solely from the plant raw material of the species itself. The natural cultivation of the shrub determines this purity of composition. The shrub grows on poor and well-drained soils in Bulgaria, where abundant light and dry, stony terrain support its natural development. The species belongs to the family Cupressaceae and covers the widest range among conifers in the Northern hemisphere. The plant produces fleshy cone-like fruits that ripen in the second or third year and serve for the extraction of the essential oil only when ripe. Steam distillation gives the product a pure olfactory characteristic, which is why the resinous tone and the herbal note are distinctly perceptible. The purity of the profile is complemented by the Bulgarian origin of the raw material. The fruit determines the light colouring, which shifts from light yellow to yellowish-green. The consistency is liquid and mobile throughout the entire volume. The aroma remains strong, with the freshness passing into a resinous density with herbal depth. In addition, the fragrance retains its fresh opening and the pronounced density of the profile. The oil remains a homogeneous liquid with a light tone and lasting, pronounced freshness.

Application
The oil is used in cosmetic products for face and body care. It is suitable for formulas intended for cleansing the skin and removing excess sebum, as well as for balancing oily skin and tightening pores. It is included in products against acne and buds, as well as in those for soothing irritations and inflammations. It is used in the care of dry and sensitive skin for hydrating and restoring the water balance. It is part of the composition of formulas for reducing wrinkles and signs of ageing, for nourishing the skin and for restoring its elasticity. It is added to products for lightening dark spots and freckles and for achieving an even tone. In body care, it is applied against cellulite and for stimulating microcirculation. It is suitable for soothing after-sun products and for softening the skin of the face and body. It is incorporated into masks and lotions, into products for refreshing the complexion during the day and for imparting radiance and freshness. It is also used in formulas for antibacterial and antioxidant protection, for balancing the skin microbiome and for improving the texture and tone of the skin.
 

Storage

Store natural juniper berry essential oil in a dark, cool and dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Maintain a temperature from +5°C to +20°C to prevent oxidation and the loss of beneficial properties. After opening, limit the amount of air in the packaging, and as the contents decrease, pour the remainder into a smaller, clean and dry bottle. Use only aluminium or glass bottles for cosmetic products, preferably made of dark glass, which protect the essential oil for cosmetics from light. Close tightly after each use so that air and moisture do not penetrate. Observing these conditions preserves the aroma and quality of the product for a longer period.
