Description
Our natural immortelle hydrolate for drinks is extracted from the plant of the species Helichrysum italicum. In international practice, the product is known as Immortelle natural hydrolate for drinks. The liquid presents itself as a clear and fluid medium whose color lies between colorless and pale yellow. The pale shade is due to the small amount of coloring substances that the water carries away during the distillation of the flowers and distributes evenly throughout the volume of the liquid. The flowers impart an herbal and floral scent to the water. The scent unfolds at medium strength and retains a soft herbal base throughout its development. The base remains clean because the composition is entirely natural. The natural composition excludes preservatives and colorants, since the aqueous fraction carries only soluble plant compounds derived from the flowering raw material at the moment of extraction. The share of these compounds remains small, because aqueous distillates retain less than one gram of dissolved volatile substances per liter of their volume. The volatile substances come from a plant of the Asteraceae family grown in Bulgaria. In this country, the crops grow naturally, which is why the plant material enters the distillation without traces of synthetic agents. Only the flowers, which carry the densest part of the plant's scent, are used in the distillation. Steam distillation of the flowers preserves the delicate volatile constituents, so the liquid remains soft and moderate in olfactory density from beginning to end. The soft character is explained precisely by the small share of aromatic compounds that the aqueous medium carries away from the flowering raw material. In addition, the pure plant material gives the finished liquid an even olfactory profile. The floral softness of the immortelle remains perceptible until the last part of the scent.
Application
Immortelle hydrolate finds diverse application in the creation of liquid products for consumption, adding a delicate herbal and floral nuance. It can be added to refreshing soft drinks, in which it emphasizes the sensation of lightness and freshness. It is suitable for iced tea, where the aroma of the plant combines harmoniously with soft fruity nuances, as well as for lemonades with a clean taste. In mixology, it is used in preparing classic and modern cocktails, to which it gives a fine aromatic finish, as well as in aperitifs and liqueurs with a botanical character. Flavored and mineral waters gain a light floral tint from it without losing their purity. The hydrolate fits successfully into recipes for smoothies, shakes and fresh fruit juices, complementing the natural taste of the fruit with a subtle herbal note, and it gives nectars a sense of completeness. It is also used in the production of syrups, in carbonated formulas with a botanical accent, and in hot tea infusions served during the cold months. Functional and sports formulas can also include the hydrolate as an aromatic component of natural origin, which is also suitable for detox programs. In each of these applications, the product reveals the characteristic profile of the immortelle in an unobtrusive and balanced way, while preserving the natural character of the final recipe.
