Description
We offer natural German chamomile hydrolate for cosmetics, whose source is the plant with the botanical name Matricaria Chamomilla. In international practice, it is referred to as German Chamomile Natural Hydrolat for Cosmetics. Bulgarian fields provide the entire starting harvest that goes into processing. Cultivation in the field follows a natural path, which is why the composition is limited to water and volatile constituents without added preservatives or colorants. The flower heads provide all of the raw material for processing. The yellow tubular florets sit on the hollow conical receptacle, while the white ray florets are arranged around the periphery of the flower head. The main part of the volatile fraction of the inflorescence comes from the tubular florets, so it is precisely they that determine the character of the scent in the finished liquid. The glandular hairs on the corolla and ovary are biseriate, and ducts with the same content run through the receptacle itself. Steam carries out the entire extraction. The narrow selection of substances in the aqueous phase is due to steam distillation, while the other parts of the plant mass remain outside the final liquid. The product is a clear and homogeneous liquid with an even internal flow. The intensity of the scent stays at a soft level throughout the profile. The sweet side and the warm shade lead in the profile, while the fruity thread stays close beside them. The color ranges from pale blue to dark blue and directly follows the flower raw material. Chamazulene is behind the blue tint of the liquid, and its precursor is matricin, which is found in the tissue of the florets themselves. The Asteraceae family places the species among plants with capitulum inflorescences and a glandular apparatus. The soft, sweet progression of the scent and the blue color define the character of this chamomile hydrolate.
