Description

We offer organic geranium root hydrolate for pharmaceuticals, obtained from the plant Geranium macrorrhizum. The liquid bears the name Geranium Root organic hydrolate for pharmaceuticals. The planted fields are located in Bulgaria. Organic cultivation of these fields limits the composition to an aqueous base and volatile substances, which is why preservatives and colorants have no share whatsoever in the distillate. Extraction is based on steam distillation, and it is precisely this method that determines the clean aromatic profile, as the aqueous carrier takes up only the volatile part of the underground organ. Among the volatile substances of the underground organ, the leading place is held by elemenone, globulol and guaiene, which sustain the warm side of the scent in the distillate. The herbal base leads the profile, while the light sweetness appears later and remains behind the warm shade of the overall scent in the finished distillate. The overall aromatic strength remains soft. The low volatile content in the aqueous base accounts for the soft character of this overall aromatic strength. The color remains between light yellow and greenish. The pigments from the rhizome pass into the distillate, which is why the plant part used is clearly evident in the finished light tone of the entire liquid. The Geraniaceae family unites genera whose underground mass accumulates volatile compounds and remains the main source for steam distillation. The final product is a clear liquid. In addition, the fleshy rhizome of the plant creeps shallowly along the surface and separates easily from the soil when the raw material is harvested. The light tone and the liquid form go together, because they come from one and the same underground raw material. The geranium root sets both the light tone and the warm herbal character of the finished liquid.

Application
Geranium root hydrolate is used as a plant raw material in the development of products for internal use in the pharmaceutical industry. It can be included in pharmaceutical syrups intended to support digestion and relieve stomach discomfort, as well as in solutions that strengthen overall tone and fortify the body during colds and seasonal conditions. The raw material is suitable for tablets and capsules with herbal ingredients aimed at maintaining concentration, memory and nervous resilience, as well as for drops with a calming effect that help reduce tension and improve sleep. In medicinal tinctures, it is used to regulate metabolism and support liver function, while in pharmaceutical blends it contributes to maintaining the respiratory system. Supplements with antioxidant properties, products for recovery after exertion and compositions for regulating hormonal balance may also contain this raw material. Its soft herbal character allows it to be easily incorporated into liquid and solid forms intended for daily support of the body.
