Description
Our organic geranium root hydrolate for detergents is obtained from the species Geranium macrorrhizum. The product is known as Geranium Root organic hydrolate for detergents. Chemotypes with citronellol and geraniol are known, as well as those with sesquiterpene ketones, which explains the differences between the individual aromatic profiles of the species. The raw material comes from the perennial rhizome of the plant. Steam distillation shapes the clean aromatic line, as the water and volatile compounds from the underground mass of the plant pass into the finished distillate. The aromatic strength remains at a soft level throughout the profile. The herbal backbone carries the warmth and light sweetness through the entire aromatic profile of the distillate. The warm shade rests on the sesquiterpene part, while the herbal line holds the base of the entire aromatic character of the distillate. The color shifts from light yellow toward greenish. The coloring of the rhizome passes into the liquid, which is why the plant part and the tone of the distillate remain closely linked to each other. The fields in Bulgaria are cultivated organically. The organic regime limits the composition to an aqueous base and volatile substances, which is why preservatives and colorants are not part of this finished clear liquid. The Geraniaceae family unites perennial genera with a developed rhizome, in which the volatile compounds accumulate and remain until the very moment of distillation. The finished product is a clear liquid with a soft aromatic strength. In addition, the underground organ is harvested in autumn and processed shortly after the end of the growing season. The geranium root leaves a light tone and a warm herbal scent in the final form of the distillate.
Application
In household and professional hygiene, geranium root hydrolate is widely used as an aromatic and functional ingredient. It is added to all-purpose household cleaning liquids, to solutions for washing floor coverings, walls and tiles, as well as to sprays for windows, mirrors and other glass surfaces, to which it imparts a fresh herbal aroma. It is suitable for bathroom and sanitary room products, including toilet freshening liquids, grout gels and solutions for cleaning ceramics and porcelain. In the kitchen, it is used in detergents with an antibacterial effect, in cleaning foams for countertops and in sprays for removing grease and stains. The ingredient is also valued in furniture care, where it is added to gentle liquids for washing wooden surfaces and to dust removal sprays. In the professional sector, the hydrolate is present in concentrates for cleaning offices, restaurants, hotels and public spaces, in disinfecting wipes with plant extracts and in sprays for the hygiene of handles, desks and office equipment. Thanks to its plant origin, it is a sought-after ingredient in eco cleaning formulas, as well as in products for washing children's toys and maintaining children's spaces.
