Description

We present a natural geranium root hydrolate for animals, obtained from the plant Geranium macrorrhizum. The product is known as Geranium Root natural hydrolate for animals. The plantations are cultivated naturally on Bulgarian soil, and therefore no foreign or added substances enter the composition of the distillate. The thick, fleshy rhizome creeps along the soil surface and forms the underground organ of the species, from which all the raw material for the finished distillate is taken. Elemenone, globulol and guaiene lead in the volatile fraction of the underground mass, which is why the aroma acquires a warm herbal direction with a light sweetness. Production by steam distillation keeps the aromatic picture pure and distinctly herbal. The aroma remains soft in its intensity. The underground part determines the pale yellow to greenish appearance of the finished distillate. The aromatic line combines herbal and warm tones with a light sweetness in the finish. The volatile substances and the aqueous phase make up the entire composition of the product, in which preservatives and colorants have no place. The liquid remains clear and mobile throughout its volume. The Geraniaceae family provides the taxonomic framework of the species. The different chemotypes of the plant carry either citronellol and geraniol or sesquiterpene ketones, as the hereditary lines do not fully coincide with each other. The natural cultivation regime determines the composition, while the underground raw material explains the color range and the soft aromatic strength. In addition, the soft aromatic strength is preserved throughout the volume of the distillate. In its finished form, the geranium distillate brings together a root origin, clarity and a warm herbal scent of soft and even strength.

Geranium root hydrolate finds application as an ingredient in products intended for animal care. It is incorporated into sprays for refreshing the coat and skin, into organic shampoos and into care solutions for flaking skin, itching or redness, helping to keep the skin healthy and elastic. It is also suitable for cleansing solutions for the ears and paws of pets, as well as for hygiene liquids for the areas around the eyes. Manufacturers include it in calming sprays for four-legged animals with stress reactions, for example during transport, a visit to a veterinary clinic or thunderstorms, as well as in aromatic waters for scenting shelters and clinics. The raw material is also used in liquid formulas for enriching drinking water, in herbal drops for adding to food and in supportive products for senior pets aimed at general condition and vital tone. In addition, the hydrolate is part of veterinary ointments and products for local application in case of irritation, as well as agents for reducing unpleasant odor from the coat.

Storage

Store natural geranium root hydrolate in a dark, cool and dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Maintain a temperature of +4°C to +10°C to limit the growth of microorganisms. After opening, use the contents within 6 months and limit the amount of air in the container. Use only aluminum or glass bottles for animal products, preferably dark glass, which protect the hydrolate for animals from light. Close tightly after each use to prevent air and contaminants from entering. Observing these conditions preserves the freshness and quality of the product for a longer period.
