Our organic geranium leaf hydrolate for detergents has as its plant source the species Pelargonium graveolens. Outside the country, the liquid is known as Geranium Leaf Organic Hydrolat. The kinship is determined by the Geraniaceae family, while Bulgarian fields take on the cultivation under an organic regime throughout the entire growing season. The plant mass enters distillation fresh and includes both the leaves and their stalks from the harvested stems. The glandular hairs on the skin release the secretion into a cavity beneath the cuticle, which is why the volatile fraction remains dense until the very extraction of the distillate. Steam extraction preserves the ratios between the constituents and explains the mild scent that remains in the finished liquid from freshly harvested leaves. The color ranges from light yellow to greenish. The liquid form of the distillate remains unchanged. The mild strength keeps the scent within calm and even limits. Storage
