Description

We present natural frankincense hydrolate for animals, whose raw material comes from a plant with the botanical name Boswellia carterii. The distillate is offered under the name Frankincense Natural Hydrolat. Cultivation in Bulgaria follows a natural approach in which synthetic agents are omitted. Taxonomy places the species in the Burseraceae family. The resin is used for extraction, since in this genus the resin canals occupy the inner bark and remain most active in the zone immediately next to the cambium. Steam distillation yields a liquid without residual solvents, which is why the aroma remains close to the original raw material. The polar oxygenated volatile compounds pass mainly into the aqueous part, and it is precisely these that build the aromatic character of the finished resin distillate. The aroma is strong and remains distinctly perceptible. The resinous tone leads the scent, while the light sweet tint is perceived as a second side of the profile. The volatile constituents of the resin include pinene, thujene, limonene, myrcene and octyl acetate. The product remains liquid, and the coloring ranges from colorless to pale yellow. The faint coloring is explained by the resin raw material, as mainly colorless volatile substances pass into the water. The composition is entirely natural, while preserving and coloring substances remain excluded from it. In addition, natural cultivation excludes synthetic substances, and therefore only the compounds from the original plant resin and pure water remain in the liquid. The strength of the scent stems from the dense content of volatile substances in the resin, which also determines the persistence of the aromatic profile in the liquid. Along with its strong scent, frankincense hydrolate combines a liquid form, faint coloring and a composition of plant origin.

Storage

After opening, use the contents within 6 to 12 months and limit the amount of air in the container. Use only aluminum or glass bottles for animal products, preferably dark glass, which protect the hydrolate for animals from light. Close tightly after each use to prevent air and contaminants from entering. Observing these conditions preserves the freshness and quality of the product for a longer period.
