Description
We present natural clary sage essential oil for perfumery, obtained from the plant with the botanical name Salvia Sclarea. In international practice the oil is offered under the name Clary Sage natural essential oil for perfumery. The composition of the product is fully natural and does not include added preservatives. The absence of colourants is complemented by the natural cultivation of the crop, which determines the entirely plant-based character of the ingredients. The ingredients come solely from the aerial part of the plant, called the stalk. The stalk originates from plantations in Bulgaria, where the species finds suitable soil and climatic conditions and is grown on a wide industrial scale. The species belongs to the family Lamiaceae, whose representatives store their essential substances in glandular hairs on the calyx and on the stalk of the flowering inflorescence. The aroma remains pure, since steam distillation separates from the stalk only its volatile part. The purity of the aroma is evident in the fresh and slightly sweet character, which passes into floral and fruity tones. The tones reach a medium to strong degree of expression in the olfactory profile of the oil. The profile is associated with a colour that ranges from colourless to pale yellowish. The light colour is due to the aerial part used, which releases volatile substances, while the colouring compounds of the tissue remain outside the resulting liquid. The liquid retains the advantages of a raw material from a single botanical species, along with a profile built only from its volatile substances. Clary sage oil remains a product of entirely plant origin and with a clearly defined olfactory character. Its consistency remains liquid upon ordinary inspection in the light.

It is often combined with other oils to achieve an individual aromatic signature and smooth transitions between the notes. In addition to the creation of fragrances, the product is also used for scenting organic cosmetics, where it brings natural harmony and a gentle herbal nuance. Thanks to its calming presence, it also finds a place in aromatherapy solutions aimed at inner balance, including in formulas for sensitive skin.

Storage

Store natural clary sage essential oil in a dark, cool and dry place, away from direct sunlight and sources of heat. Maintain a temperature from +5°C to +20°C in order to prevent oxidation and the loss of beneficial properties. After opening, limit the amount of air in the packaging, and when the contents decrease, pour the remainder into a smaller, clean and dry bottle. Use only aluminium or glass bottles for perfumery products, preferably of dark glass, which protect the essential oil for perfumery from light. Close tightly after each use so that air and moisture do not penetrate. Observing these conditions preserves the aroma and quality of the product for a longer period.
