Description
We present organic refined blueberry seed carrier oil for detergents, obtained from the plant with the botanical name Vaccinium myrtillus. The product bears the name Blueberry seed organic refined carrier oil for detergents. The product has a liquid consistency and a colour that ranges from light yellow to pale red. The colour comes from the seeds, as they are the only part of the plant used and the only source of pigments in the final liquid. The liquid carries a light and fresh aroma with fruity notes. The aroma retains a weak and pleasant intensity. The purity of the aroma is due to refining, through which the oil is obtained and which removes the volatile accompanying substances and part of the pigments. In addition, refining preserves in the oil the fatty acid profile of the seeds, in which linoleic, linolenic and oleic acid predominate. Linoleic and linolenic acid are polyunsaturated and occupy similar shares in the profile, while oleic acid is monounsaturated. The composition contains no preservatives or colourants and includes only substances of plant origin. The organic cultivation of the shrubs in Bulgaria excludes synthetic fertilisers and pesticides, so the product is entirely organic. The shrubs belong to the Ericaceae family and form low deciduous clumps, while their fruits ripen in summer and acquire a dark blue hue. Numerous small seeds develop in each fruit and serve as the raw material for the product. The species grows naturally in the forests and on the slopes of Europe and Northern Asia, whereas in Bulgaria it occurs mainly in the high mountain areas.

Application
Organic refined blueberry seed carrier oil is used in household and professional cleaning and care products as an active ingredient of floor cleaning soaps. Floor soaps form their washing base from vegetable oils, so the raw material provides their cleaning action. The floor cleaning solutions are used on wooden and stone floors. Cleaning pastes for kitchen worktops, cookers and sinks contain the product in the same soap base, which removes grease. The light yellow to pale red tint does not change the colour of the pastes. In addition, wet floor wipes contain the product in their soap solution, since it forms their washing component. In care products for parquet and wooden floors, the oil forms the oil base, and its liquid consistency facilitates penetration into the pores of the wood. Furniture polishes also include the oil, and in them it is combined with beeswax and carnauba wax. The oil phase of the polishes, formed by the product, gives shine to wooden surfaces and worktops.

Storage

Store organic refined blueberry seed carrier oil in a dark, cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Maintain a temperature of +5°C to +20°C to prevent oxidation and loss of beneficial properties. After opening, limit the amount of air in the package, and as the contents decrease, pour the remainder into a smaller, clean and dry bottle. Use only aluminium or glass bottles, preferably dark glass that protects the oil from light. Seal tightly after each use to keep out air and moisture. Compliance with these conditions preserves the aroma and quality of the product for a longer period.
