Description
We present organic basil essential oil for pharmaceuticals, obtained from the species Ocimum basilicum. The product bears the name Basil organic essential oil for pharmaceuticals in international trade. The oil remains liquid and has a strong odour. The odour follows a herbaceous-sweet direction, and its fullness is evident throughout the olfactory range that accompanies the product's liquid consistency. The fullness of the odour comes from the volatile ingredients of the herb, among which linalool and methylchavicol occupy a leading position in the overall olfactory profile. The volatile ingredients reach the oil through steam distillation, so the odour retains the purity of the source green herb. The purity of the fragrance is complemented by the Bulgarian origin of all the raw material. Alongside this origin is the organic cultivation method used for the crops. The crops occupy extensive areas in Bulgaria, which supplies all the plant raw material for the product. The plant material comes from a herbaceous species assigned to the family Lamiaceae. The family includes some of the genera richest in essential oils in the world's flora and brings together numerous aromatic herbs from across the temperate zone. The herbs of the family provide the above-ground stalk, and its green tissues determine the golden-yellow tone of the finished oil. This tone belongs to an entirely organic plant composition. Storage

Store organic basil essential oil in a dark, cool and dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Maintain a temperature of +5°C to +20°C to prevent oxidation and changes in quality. After opening, limit the amount of air in the packaging and, as the contents decrease, transfer the remainder to a smaller, clean and dry bottle. Use only aluminium or glass bottles for pharmaceutical products, preferably dark glass, which protect the essential oil for pharmaceuticals from light.
