Description
Our organic basil essential oil from Greece for aromatherapy is obtained from the plant with the botanical name Ocimum basilicum. In international practice, the product is referred to as Basil organic essential oil for aromatherapy. The plant belongs to the family Lamiaceae, whose natural range encompasses tropical and subtropical Asia. Asia remains the native home of the species, while the plantings for our raw material are located in Greece. The Greek fields are maintained organically, without synthetic fertilisers or pesticides. The plantings provide the above-ground stalk, in whose peltate glandular hairs the volatile compounds accumulate. These accumulated compounds pass into the oil through steam distillation, which transfers only the volatile ingredients of the stalk and thus maintains the purity of the scent. The scent reveals a strong note with a herbaceous, sweet character. The sweet aspect comes from linalool, which remains the predominant oxygenated monoterpene compound in the distilled product. The oil also takes up the colouring substances of the stalk, giving the liquid a golden-yellow hue. This hue spreads evenly throughout the liquid consistency of the product. The consistency carries an entirely organic composition, as the field excludes synthetic substances and leaves only plant material from the Greek harvest in the liquid. The plant material enters the product without preservatives or colourants. The oil brings together the ingredients of the entire above-ground plant material, while the intensity of the scent remains high throughout the volume of the liquid. The profile of the oil relies entirely on the ingredients of the organically grown stalk.

Application
Basil essential oil is used in aromatherapy primarily through a diffuser to freshen the air and create a harmonious atmosphere at home and in the working environment. Scenting a room with it supports concentration during study and work, stimulates the mind, helps with mental fatigue and encourages clarity of thought and creativity. The aroma is invigorating in the morning and brings a sense of energy and vitality throughout the day, while in the evening it makes it easier to unwind after tension and prepares for restful sleep. It is also suitable for enriching practices such as meditation, yoga and deep-breathing exercises, where it helps balance emotions, reduce nervous tension and anxiety, and maintain emotional comfort. Storage

Store organic basil essential oil in a dark, cool and dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Maintain a temperature of +5°C to +20°C to prevent oxidation and the loss of beneficial properties. After opening, limit the amount of air in the packaging and, as the contents decrease, transfer the remainder to a smaller, clean and dry bottle. Use only aluminium or glass bottles for aromatherapy products, preferably dark glass, which protect the essential oil for aromatherapy from light. Close tightly after each use to prevent air and moisture from entering. Observing these conditions preserves the aroma and quality of the product for a longer period.
