Description

We present natural basil hydrolate for animals, obtained from a plant of the species Ocimum Basilicum. The product is offered under the name Basil Natural Hydrolat Animals. According to modern botanical classification, the species belongs to the Lamiaceae family. The product is based on an entirely natural composition. The composition combines the aqueous medium with the volatile substances dissolved in it, which have passed from the leaf mass. Preservatives and colorants are not present in the liquid, which is why the plant material remains the sole source of the scent throughout the entire volume of the distillate. The plant material is limited to the leaves, since in the genus Ocimum the volatile substances are concentrated precisely in the aerial leaf mass of the plant. The leaves grow on naturally maintained areas in Bulgaria. The areas are cultivated without synthetic agents and without artificial fertilization, which leaves the volatile reserve of the leaves in its natural state. The natural cultivation continues until the moment of steam distillation. Steam distillation carries only the light soluble part into the aqueous phase and also protects the unstable fragrant compounds from changes in composition. The unstable compounds give the distillate a soft and even olfactory progression. The soft progression results from the natural raw material and from the gentle method of extracting the volatile substances. The gentle method leaves the liquid clear and golden yellow throughout its volume. The clarity of the liquid is preserved because only soluble compounds of the plant material pass into the aqueous phase, as can also be seen in the liquid itself. The color goes hand in hand with a scent that maintains medium strength and a grassy-sweet character to the end. The grassy side of the scent remains recognizable throughout the entire volume of this aqueous distillate.

Storage

Store natural basil hydrolate in a dark, cool and dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Maintain a temperature of +4°C to +10°C to limit the growth of microorganisms. After opening, use the contents within 6 to 12 months and limit the amount of air in the container. Use only aluminum or glass bottles for animal products, preferably dark glass, which protect the hydrolate for animals from light. Close tightly after each use to prevent air and contaminants from entering. Observing these conditions preserves the freshness and quality of the product for a longer period.
