Description
Our natural Scots pine hydrolate for detergents is obtained from the plant with the botanical name Pinus sylvestris. In international practice, it is designated as White Pine natural hydrolate for detergents. The product is an aqueous distillate of the needles with a liquid consistency. The needles grow on a tree species of the Pinaceae family. The tree species is grown naturally in Bulgaria, without the use of synthetic agents. Natural cultivation preserves the natural proportion of volatile substances in the green mass and is directly reflected in the olfactory character of the finished liquid. The volatile substances that pass into the aqueous phase are mainly oxygenated compounds, because they have better solubility in the aqueous medium of the distillate. The oxygenated compounds give a fresh herbal fragrance of medium strength. The medium strength outlines the herbal base clearly, while the fresh side remains light and lends transparency to the entire olfactory impression of this aqueous distillate. The transparent liquid bears a coloration that ranges from colorless to pale yellow. The pale color indicates a weak presence of coloring substances in the aqueous phase. Steam distillation supports this lightness, as it carries into the water only the most mobile volatile constituents of the coniferous raw material. The mobile constituents make the fragrance soft and even throughout the volume of the liquid. The composition of this aqueous distillate is entirely natural. Added preservatives and colorants are absent from it, so the fragrance comes solely from the needles and from the aqueous medium that has absorbed their constituents. The entire fragrance of this natural Scots pine distillate originates from its coniferous raw material.
