Description
Our natural Scots pine essential oil for drinks originates from the needles of the tree species with the botanical name Pinus sylvestris. The product is offered under the name White Pine natural essential oil for drinks. The tree species belongs to the Pinaceae family and extends from northern Scandinavia to the mountains of southern Spain and the Caucasus. Its range includes both the coastal plains in the north and the high mountain zones in the south, while our raw material grows exclusively in Bulgaria. Bulgarian forests of this species occupy the Rhodopes, Rila, Pirin and Osogovo, with smaller stands growing in the Vitosha, Plana and Slavyanka mountains. The forest stands follow natural cultivation, which determines the pure terpene character of the raw material. The pure terpene character underpins the advantages that the high-mountain origin gives the product. The product retains the full volume of volatile ingredients, as steam distillation separates only their aromatic fraction. Extraction covers only the needles, which is why the olfactory character emerges pure and unambiguous. This character unfolds freshly, with a strongly refreshing tone. The tone takes shape on a liquid base whose colour ranges from light yellow to yellow-green because of the pigment of the green needles in the fresh raw material. The liquid consistency remains homogeneous, while the aromatic profile retains its coniferous direction. The profile rests on an entirely natural basis, and preservatives and colourants are absent. The volatile fraction of the composition brings together monoterpenes and sesquiterpenes characteristic of the needles of the country's pine plantations.
Application
Scots pine essential oil introduces a distinct forest freshness into modern drinks and is successfully used both in industrial production and in bars and restaurants. It is suitable for lemonades with a complex herbal profile, for cold and hot teas, including organic and functional ranges, as well as for carbonated products without added sugar. Its aroma enriches alcohol-free cocktails, craft syrups, invigorating formulas and flavoured waters, while in combination with citrus nuances it adds character to smoothies and freshly squeezed juices. The oil finds a place in detox formulas, energy shots and products for refreshment after physical activity, as well as in sports ranges with a natural basis. It is also appropriate in the offerings of spa and wellness bars, where a relaxing herbal presence is sought, as well as in winter seasonal recipes and festive formulas with a forest accent. Manufacturers use it in enriched waters, natural juices, organic concentrates and plant-based mixes, as well as in premium ranges with a fresh mountain identity. The subtle pine note combines well with herbal and mint compositions and allows distinctive flavour profiles to be created in low-calorie alternatives and traditional homemade recipes. Thanks to its intense aroma, the oil allows precise flavour shaping without changing the character of the base.
