Description
We present natural Scots pine essential oil for detergents, which comes from the needles of the evergreen mountain species with the botanical name Pinus sylvestris. It is known as White Pine natural essential oil for detergents. The composition of the oil is limited to the volatile terpenes from the green needles. The terpenes are divided into monoterpene and sesquiterpene groups, with monoterpenes predominating in the product's volatile fraction. The fraction remains entirely natural, as it contains no preservatives or colourants. The natural purity is evident in the fresh character of the scent, which remains strong and refreshing across the full olfactory profile. The scent emerges pure from steam distillation, as the method separates only the volatile portion of the raw material. The liquid consistency has a colour between light yellow and yellow-green because the needles release some of their green pigment. The needles grow in pairs on a tree of the Pinaceae family that tolerates prolonged drought, severe cold and poor, stony soils on exposed slopes. Pinaceae comprises species with a wide distribution range, while our plantations grow in Bulgaria. The Bulgarian forest stands occupy the Rhodope Mountains, Rila, Pirin and Osogovo, where the tree species develops under natural cultivation and retains its full terpene profile. The terpene profile reaches the product intact, so the olfactory profile remains full, clear and true to the raw material. In addition, the mountain origin gives the product a pure coniferous base. The pine plantations on the country's high slopes provide the raw material for the fresh olfactory character of the oil.
Application
Scots pine essential oil is widely used in the production of detergents for the home and professional environments. It is incorporated into formulations for washing floor coverings, wooden surfaces, tiles, grout and glass, where it imparts a fresh pine aroma and contributes to the shine of the treated areas. The oil is suitable for all-purpose cleaning solutions, products for removing grease and washing dishes, as well as for the care of kitchen worktops, appliances, sinks and sanitary facilities. Its natural antiseptic action makes it a valuable component in disinfecting products for bathrooms, toilets, handles, switches and household accessories, while its deodorising properties support the neutralisation of unpleasant odours and the freshening of the air in living and working spaces. Formulators of products for textiles use it when developing solutions for cleaning fabrics, carpets, upholstery and furniture, including office furnishings. The oil is also used in products for maintaining car interiors, air conditioning systems, terraces, shoes and accessories, as well as in hygiene products for hotels, public spaces and urban transport. Thanks to its gentle action, it is suitable for formulations intended for children's rooms, toys and delicate surfaces, while its stable aroma makes it a preferred choice when creating products for freshening rooms and wet areas.
Storage
Store natural Scots pine essential oil in a dark, cool and dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Maintain a temperature of +5°C to +20°C to prevent oxidation and the loss of beneficial properties. After opening, limit the amount of air in the packaging, and as the contents decrease, transfer the remainder to a smaller, clean and dry bottle. Use only aluminium or glass bottles for products for detergents, preferably made of dark glass, which protect the essential oil for detergents from light. Close tightly after each use to prevent air and moisture from entering. Observing these conditions preserves the product's aroma and quality for a longer period.
