Description
Our natural white fir essential oil for aromatherapy is obtained from the plant with the botanical name Abies alba. In international practice, the product is designated as White Fir natural essential oil for aromatherapy. The plant belongs to the family Pinaceae and occupies the mountain regions of Europe, including the Balkan Peninsula, where the stands persist on the high slopes. The Balkan part of the range includes Bulgaria. The raw material comes from there, and the needles of the tree are used for the extraction. The needles undergo steam distillation, which is why the fragrance of the product retains its pure natural character and conveys the properties of the source raw material. The distillation carries over the volatile monoterpene constituents, and it is precisely these that shape the fresh, pine-like side of the profile, characteristic of the coniferous species of this family. The profile reaches a rich and intense strength, while the resinous tone remains dominant throughout the fragrance of the product. Along with the fragrance, the oil shows a liquid consistency. The liquid has a yellowish-brown colour, which derives from the resinous substances in the needles, as this plant part accumulates them in its tissues during the vegetation period. The stands are cultivated naturally, which determines the entirely natural composition of the product. The composition excludes preservatives and colourants, so the liquid retains only the volatile substances of the plant. The absence of supplements maintains the quality of the oil for aromatherapy. The quality stems from the plant source and from the integrity of the harvested raw material, which reaches distillation in a fresh state. The freshness of the material is due to the trees, which grow in a cool mountain climate and shape the forest character of the fragrance. The forest aroma carries the pine tone of the white fir needles.
Application
White fir essential oil is widely used in practices for scenting the home and the working environment. A few drops in a diffuser or aroma lamp fill the room with a coniferous aroma that freshens the air in enclosed spaces and creates a feeling of cleanliness. The oil is often included in inhalation blends that support free breathing, as well as in air sprays, textile and pillow sprays that contribute to restful sleep. In massage practice, it is added to aromatic oils for rubbing, whose calming action relieves accumulated tension after a busy day. It is suitable for home spa rituals, aromatic baths and bath drops with a relaxing effect, and in aroma pendants and personal diffusers it accompanies the user throughout the day. The fresh woody tone makes the oil a preferred choice for spaces for yoga, meditation and reading, where it supports concentration and inner balance. During the cold season, its diffusion helps maintain a pleasant and protected atmosphere at home, and in an office or study environment it invigorates and stimulates mental clarity. Compositions with this oil are also used for freshening the car, as well as in everyday aromatherapy for balancing emotions and promoting a good mood.
Storage
Store natural white fir essential oil in a dark, cool and dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. After opening, limit the amount of air in the packaging, and as the contents decrease, transfer the remainder into a smaller, clean and dry bottle. Use only aluminium or glass bottles for aromatherapy products, preferably made of dark glass, which protect the essential oil for aromatherapy from light.
