Description

We present a natural juniper berry hydrolate for perfumery, extracted from the plant with the botanical name Juniperus communis. The liquid bears the name Juniper Berry natural hydrolate for perfumery. The species belongs to the Cupressaceae family. The ripe cone-like fruits serve as the starting material, and the scales of the female cone fuse with one another to form a dense, uniform, fleshy structure. At first the cones look reddish, while the ripe ones acquire a blue-black color and a dense waxy bloom on the surface. Cultivation in Bulgaria follows natural rules and excludes both synthetic agents and mineral fertilizers. Steam distillation of the unfermented ripe fruits keeps the aroma pure, because no solvents are added and the volatile fraction comes entirely from the cones themselves. The aqueous phase takes up the oxygenated volatile compounds, and it is precisely they that determine the aromatic character of the finished distillate. The strength of the aroma is high. The fresh pine profile receives a resinous finish in the overall scent. Monoterpene hydrocarbons predominate in the volatile fraction, and pinene, myrcene and sabinene stand out most distinctly among them. The distillate remains clear, and its color covers the tones from colorless to pale yellow. The fruit raw material underlies the faint color, because the water carries out mainly colorless constituents, while the pigments are retained in the flesh of the cone. The natural composition does not allow preservatives or colorants. In addition, the natural cultivation rules and the raw material limited to the fruit lead to a composition made only of plant volatile substances and water. Along with its strong scent, the juniper distillate remains clear and faintly colored.

It is used in body sprays, aromatic oils for personalized formulas and essences for men's and women's fragrances with a woodsy and citrus profile. It is also used in compositions for seasonal collections, diffusion liquids for spaces and hair mists with a light aromatic veil. It is suitable for professional laboratories developing boutique lines, essences with a balanced spectrum and fine blends with an elegant, woody and fresh character.

Storage

Store natural juniper berry hydrolate in a dark, cool and dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Maintain a temperature of +4°C to +10°C to limit the growth of microorganisms. After opening, use the contents within 6 months and limit the amount of air in the container. Use only aluminum or glass bottles for perfumery products, preferably dark glass, which protect the perfumery hydrolate from light. Close tightly after each use to prevent air and contaminants from entering. Observing these conditions preserves the freshness and quality of the product for a longer period.
