Description
We offer organic German chamomile essential oil for animals, obtained from the plant with the botanical name Matricaria chamomilla. In international practice, the product is referred to as Chamomile German organic essential oil for animals. The composition of the liquid comprises only organic plant matter, without preservatives and without artificial colourants. The matter comes from plantations under an organic regime, in which synthetic mineral fertilisers and detergents stay away from the field. The chemical-free regime yields a pure raw material, which is why the finished oil retains an entirely plant-based character in its composition. The oil results from steam distillation, during which water vapour carries away only the volatile substances from the flowers and passes them on to the finished clear liquid. Distillation preserves the pure olfactory profile, so the fragrance remains close to the flowers. The flowers originate from Bulgaria, where the cultivation of aromatic and medicinal species has been carried on for generations. Bulgaria maintains significant areas of aromatic crops, along with a long practice in growing medicinal plants. The plant belongs to the family Asteraceae, originates from Europe and Western Asia and grows as an annual herbaceous crop with small flower heads. The flower heads combine yellow tubular florets with a ring of white ray florets along the edge. The florets give the oil a light tint ranging from colourless to pale yellow. The pale yellow liquid retains a delicate aroma with sweet and warm nuances. The liquid consistency of German chamomile oil remains homogeneous throughout the entire volume.

Application
Organic German chamomile essential oil is used in products for the care, hygiene and well-being of domestic and farm animals, where its soothing, anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties relieve skin and emotional conditions. It is incorporated into shampoos with a soothing effect against itching, into paw balsams for dryness and cracking, into moisturising creams and lotions for dry and cracked skin, as well as into care products after shaving or epilation. The oil is present in sprays and lotions for relieving itching, redness, inflamed and irritated areas and skin reactions after contact with allergens, in repellents against external parasites for dogs, cats and birds and in products for disinfecting the skin and paws after a walk. It is applied in oils for relieving joint pain in older animals, painful muscle spasms, fatigue and tension after physical exertion, as well as in products for healing skin wounds, bites and scratches and for care after surgical interventions. Chamomile is also used in aromatherapy products for reducing stress, anxiety and nervousness during travel, veterinary examinations, noise and strain, in sprays for freshening beds, rooms, cages and animal accessories with antibacterial action, in products for removing unpleasant odours and in products for the care of baby animals and their comfort.

Storage

Store organic German chamomile essential oil in a dark, cool and dry place, away from direct sunlight and sources of heat. Maintain a temperature of +5°C to +20°C to prevent oxidation and the loss of beneficial properties. After opening, limit the amount of air in the container, and as the contents decrease, pour the remainder into a smaller, clean and dry bottle. Use only aluminium or glass bottles for animal products, preferably made of dark glass, which protect the essential oil for animals from light. Close tightly after each use to prevent air and moisture from entering. Observing these conditions preserves the aroma and quality of the product for a longer period.
