Only the flower heads of this plant are used for processing. The flower head arranges white ray florets in a peripheral circle, while the yellow tubular florets remain on the hollow conical receptacle in its very center. The biseriate glandular hairs on the corolla and the ovary, together with the canals in the receptacle, take over the secretion of volatile substances in this species. The main part of the volatile fraction derives from the tubular florets in the center. The Asteraceae family brings together species in which the small florets stand close to one another. The plantations grow on open fields within the borders of Bulgaria. The natural cultivation regime is reflected in the composition, as only an aqueous base and volatile substances enter the liquid, without added preservatives or colorants.
