Description

We present natural German chamomile hydrolate for perfumery, obtained from the plant Matricaria chamomilla. In trade outside our country, it bears the name German Chamomile natural hydrolate for perfumery. The scent stays at a soft level throughout the aromatic profile. The sweet thread leads the profile, the warm side runs beneath it, and a fruity nuance completes the overall picture of the aroma. The flower heads provide the starting mass for processing. The white ray florets surround the periphery of the flower head, while the yellow tubular florets fill the hollow conical receptacle. Biseriate glandular hairs grow on the corolla and the ovary, and canals in which the volatile substances of the inflorescence are secreted run through the receptacle. The volatile fraction of the flower head derives mainly from the tubular florets, which is why the aroma of the liquid follows their direction throughout the aromatic profile. The extraction is based on steam distillation. Only the volatile constituents of the flower mass pass into the aqueous phase, so the aromatic profile remains clean and easily recognizable throughout the entire volume of the product. The product is a clear liquid with uniform density and an even internal flow. The color ranges from pale blue to dark blue throughout the entire volume of the liquid. The blue tone comes from chamazulene, and matricin in the tissue of the florets is its precursor form in this plant species. The Asteraceae family brings together plants with densely clustered small florets in a common inflorescence. The plantations are maintained naturally on open Bulgarian fields. The natural cultivation regime is reflected in the composition, as the liquid combines the aqueous base with the volatile substances without added colorants or preservatives. In addition, the raw material is sourced only from open fields in the country. The sweet, warm scent and the blue color range define the character of this chamomile distillate.
