Description

We present natural German chamomile hydrolate for drinks, which is based on the flower raw material of the plant Matricaria chamomilla. Outside our market, the product is known as German Chamomile natural hydrolate for drinks. Steam distillation shapes the entire extraction. Only the volatile constituents of the flower mass remain in the aqueous phase, as the steam treatment selects a narrow range of substances from all the processed raw material. The aromatic profile remains clear and well defined in the finished product. The soft level of the scent is maintained throughout the entire volume of the liquid. The sweet side leads the profile, the warm nuance stands behind it, and the fruity thread completes the picture of the overall aromatic character. The liquid remains clear and fluid throughout its entire mass. The color lies between pale blue and dark blue throughout the entire mass. Chamazulene, whose precursor form is matricin, is found in the tissue of the florets, which is why the flower raw material determines the blue color range of the liquid throughout its volume. Each flower head bears white ray florets along the periphery, while the yellow tubular florets occupy the hollow conical receptacle in the very center of the inflorescence. The main share of the volatile fraction lies in the tubular florets of the flower head. In addition, biseriate glandular hairs cover the corolla and the ovary, and canals run through the receptacle itself. The Asteraceae family places the species among the herbaceous plants with capitulum inflorescences and a glandular apparatus. The entire harvest comes from open fields in Bulgaria. The natural method of cultivation is also reflected in the composition, so the liquid is based on water and volatile constituents without external preservatives or colorants. The soft, sweet scent and the blue color outline the overall character of this chamomile liquid.
