Our natural German chamomile hydrolate for aromatherapy originates from the species Matricaria chamomilla. It is known as German Chamomile natural hydrolate for aromatherapy among trading partners outside our country. The plant belongs to the Asteraceae family. The flower heads, which provide all of the processed plant mass, are used for the extraction. The flower head bears white ray florets in the outer circle, while the yellow tubular florets cover the hollow conical receptacle in the center. The volatile fraction of the flower head comes mainly from the tubular florets, so the flower raw material determines the direction of the scent in the finished plant distillate. Extraction is based on steam distillation, which defines the narrow range of substances in the aqueous phase. The purity of the aromatic profile is due precisely to the steam treatment, which is why the scent remains clear and well defined throughout the entire volume. The product is a clear, homogeneous liquid with an even internal flow. The aroma stays at a soft level and retains this intensity throughout the profile. The scent combines a sweet, a warm and a fruity side, which intertwine into a common aromatic character. The color ranges from pale blue to dark blue and remains within this range throughout the entire volume of the liquid. The blue tone comes from chamazulene, whose precursor is matricin in the flower tissue, so the part of the plant used is directly linked to the color of the liquid. The volatile substances are released through biseriate glandular hairs on the corolla and ovary, as well as through ducts in the receptacle. The plantations are cultivated naturally. The natural regime in the field also determines the simplicity of the composition, as the aqueous base combines only volatile substances without added preservatives and colorants. The raw material comes from open fields in Bulgaria, where the plantations used are located. The soft, sweet scent and the blue color range define the character of this chamomile distillate.

Storage

Store natural German chamomile hydrolate in a dark, cool and dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Maintain a temperature of +4°C to +10°C to limit the growth of microorganisms. After opening, use the contents within 6 months and limit the amount of air in the container. Use only aluminum or glass bottles for aromatherapy products, preferably dark glass, which protect the aromatherapy hydrolate from light. Close tightly after each use to prevent air and contaminants from entering. Observing these conditions preserves the freshness and quality of the product for a longer period.
