Description
Our natural German chamomile essential oil for foods is obtained from the species Matricaria chamomilla. Under the name Chamomile German natural essential oil for food, the product is offered on the international market. The genus belongs to the family Asteraceae, and the plantations cover areas in Bulgaria. The plantations in Bulgaria develop naturally, as cultivation follows the natural rhythm of the plant and leaves the composition of the obtained oil entirely natural. The plant develops flower heads containing the volatile substances of the species. Only the flowers are used for extraction, and steam distillation gives the finished scent purity and preserves the olfactory profile of the plant raw material itself. The steam method remains generally accepted for obtaining essential oil from the flowering parts of this species. The aroma remains delicate in strength, with sweet and warm nuances. The nuances are carried by a liquid consistency whose tone remains between colourless and pale yellow. The pale yellow range comes precisely from the flowers, which set the light tone of the liquid and define the appearance of the finished product in daylight. The light tone and the delicate aroma define the advantages of the product, along with the Bulgarian origin of the harvest and its natural cultivation method. The advantages are complemented by the pure composition, which accepts no preservatives and colourants. It is dominated by sesquiterpenes, characteristic of the volatile fraction of plants of this genus. The sesquiterpenes sustain the sweet warmth of the scent, while the liquid form remains homogeneous throughout the volume. German chamomile oil carries a soft olfactory character, which the Bulgarian harvest of flowers gives it. The scent of the oil retains its soft warmth.
