The product bears the name Clary Sage natural essential oil for cosmetics. The oil is a mobile liquid with a colour that varies from colourless to pale yellowish. The light tone of the liquid comes from the stalk used, whose volatile fraction passes into the oil, while the pigments of the green tissue remain in the plant material. The olfactory characteristic of the product ranges from a medium to a strong degree of intensity. The intensity is combined with a fresh and slightly sweet character, complemented by floral-fruity tones typical of the species. The species is grown in Bulgaria in a natural way, and the family Lamiaceae, to which it belongs, unites the aromatic plants with glandular formations on the aboveground organs. The glandular formations are concentrated on the flowering stalk, which remains the only part used. Storage
