Description
Our organic black pepper essential oil for aromatherapy is obtained from the plant with the botanical name Piper nigrum. In international practice, the product is referred to as Black Pepper organic essential oil for aromatherapy. The plant belongs to the Piperaceae family and is a perennial climbing species whose ripe fruits carry the volatile aromatic fraction of the spice. The fruits ripen on plantations in Bulgaria. The plantations in the country are maintained organically, as this cultivation regime makes the composition free from synthetic residues and foreign additives. The organic content excludes preservatives and colourants. The pure composition owes its character to steam distillation, because it separates only the volatile substances of the fruit, and the scent therefore remains true to the raw material. The scent is built on monoterpene hydrocarbons and sesquiterpenes, which predominate in the volatile fraction of the ripe fruit. The fruit gives the liquid a colourless to pale yellow tone, because the colouring pigments in its skin are present only in small quantities. The liquid is distinguished by its fluid consistency. The fluidity goes hand in hand with a strong odour, recognisable by the spicy pungency, the warm fullness and the herbal finish of the scent. In addition, the oil carries the entire scent of the ripe fruits in concentrated form. The concentrated composition comes entirely from organically grown fruits, harvested at full ripeness on Bulgarian land. The oil retains a clear appearance and fluidity, and its olfactory characteristic remains dense, warm and pronounced. The odour preserves its spicy strength even after the warm nuances unfold.
Application
Black pepper essential oil finds a place in aromatherapy primarily because of its warm, spicy character and its pronounced tonic action. When used to scent the air, it helps stimulate circulation and creates a sense of inner warmth, which makes it a suitable choice during the winter months, in case of a cold or for cold extremities. Included in massage blends, the oil contributes to relaxing stiff muscles, relieving stiffness in the joints and tension in the back, neck and shoulders, as well as to recovery after physical exertion or sport. Its aroma has an invigorating effect on the mind, supports concentration and mental clarity and helps with fatigue, apathy and weakened motivation. Many prefer it in the morning for an energetic start to the day, while in the evening it helps release accumulated tension and promotes restful sleep by relaxing the body. In a diffuser, it creates a cosy and stable atmosphere at home and blends well with citrus and woody aromas. Inhaling the warm aroma can also support calm breathing, digestion and appetite, and during seasonal changes it provides a sense of stability and additional support for the body. Thus the oil becomes a reliable aid in raising vitality, mood and the overall sense of balance between body and mind.
Storage
Store organic black pepper essential oil in a dark, cool and dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Maintain a temperature of +5°C to +20°C to prevent oxidation and the loss of beneficial properties. After opening, limit the amount of air in the packaging, and as the contents decrease, transfer the remainder into a smaller, clean and dry bottle. Use only aluminium or glass bottles for aromatherapy products, preferably made of dark glass, which protect the essential oil for aromatherapy from light.
